KIN + DIGNITY® magazine is a literary publication independent literary publication exploring the Black South through a small town and rural lens. We publish two (2) print issues per year and an online blog. Learn more about us.

General Guidelines

Style:

All content must be unique and conversational in tone. We only publish content that speaks to our small town audience ages 40 or better.

Word count:

  • A minimum of 750 words for online content. 1000 words max.

  • A minimum of 1500 words for our print issues. 3000 words max.

  • We will proof and edit your articles while maintaining the integrity of your voice.

Rights

Once we accept your submission, you grant a license of all rights for the submission to Kin + Dignity. The content may appear on the website, social media, and print issues, and podcasts created by Kin + Dignity. You will receive credit when applicable.

What’s in it for you?

For your contribution, you will receive a custom byline, photo and agreed upon payment for your work.

Submission does not guarantee that your work will be published.
