Black-Owned Charity Is Hosting A Texas Warrior Golf Tournament: "Tiger Up" For Lupus Warriors Seeking A Higher Education
The Gibson Lupus Autoimmune Disease Resource Center in Texas has been a pillar for those greatly affected by various disorders across the entire world. Each year Gibson ARC hosts a pageant showcasing men, women, kids and supporters who are in the community. In 2019, the organization hosted a successful kids’ fashion show with local black-owned seamstresses at a nearby black-owned restaurant. It was a sight to see!
This year, No Sister Left Behind and The Gibson Lupus ARC has teamed up to raise funds for the lupus and autoimmune community. There is so much happening in our world today (such as COVID-19, winter storms, etc.) and unfortunately, those with sensitive and/or weak systems have suffered the most. The two entities are highlighting this issue and more within the community by hosting this incredible golf tournament.
No Sisters Left Behind has partnered with The Gibson Lupus ARC to raise scholarship funds for entrepreneurial spirited students who want to learn how to work for themselves even if it's out of a hospital bed. While also raising funds for college students, T-Mobile as a title sponsor sponsored 300 tablets with 6 months free service for ALL of the scholarship recipients.
