Cypress-Based Private School Geared Towards Elite Student-Athletes Set To Open Fall 2021

Emerging from a global pandemic and ever present future uncertainty, a new innovative school has formed with the promise of a unique 50:50 private school education for students who want to excel at the highest levels in sports. PSAT-XEA stands for Prep Student Athlete Training Academy and is an educational affiliate of Xavier Educational Academy (XEA), a private school in the West University area of Houston near Rice University.

PSAT-XEA is coming out the gate Fall 2021 with basketball, baseball, volleyball, and football with a heavy emphasis on development of early, intermediate and elite student-athletes by former professional NBA, MLB, PGA, and international pro athletes.

In order for kids to compete with international students for NCAA scholarships and pro sports opportunities, a more time-efficient model needs to be pursued that allows for more focused academic enrichment combined with increased time allotment for athletic excellence.
— Dr. Andrew Green (Founder)

The average day will consist of 3-4 hours of sports-specific pro-development, with strength & conditioning incorporated, as well as competitive sports schedules. The other 3-4 hours a day will be spent on a combination of synchronous, asynchronous, and in-person academic development and instruction. The seamless delivery of enrollment, financial parent, SIS, teacher, and administrative services will be powered by FACTS, formerly known as RenWEB. The school will offer 3rd-12th grade academics, athletics, and pro sports development. In addition, a post-graduate division will provide sports competition, pro-development, and ACT/SAT exam prep services for student-athletes who need that extra year to increase their athletic skill-sets, athletic conditioning, NCAA & Pro recruitment status, and college entrance exam performance.

“We realize the frustration with educational delivery that angered and stifled parents during the pandemic. We wanted to make sure we put together the right partners and products to be able to offer parents and their children a platform that worked for them and when needed through them. The parent is one of the most important parts of the educational support team for students and student-athletes. Some of our kids will travel internationally and compete against the best in the world, while others travel state-wide and nationally. The parents need to feel connected and empowered by the educational delivery platform we provide,” says PSAT-XEA Founder Dr. Andrew Green.

PSAT Academy recently held their Grand Opening event on Wednesday, June 23rd where parents had an opportunity to gain more insight on the highly-anticipated program. The event was held at the home of PSAT-XEA and where many elite student-athletes train, Louetta Automotive Sports Complex in Cypress, TX.

In addition, be sure to contact PSAT Academy for an invite to FREE pro-training summer sessions if you would like to try out for the 2021-2022 PSAT Basketball Family for their 3rd-12th and Post-Grad teams.
